Thin Ice by Irene Hannon

For Christy things could not get worse. Just six months after losing her parents in a car accident, she has now lost her sister Ginny in a house fire. Christy feels bereft. All alone. Three months on trying to get on with her life Christy faces the unimaginable. A letter in Ginny's handwriting saying she is alive and not to inform the police otherwise her life will really be in danger.

Why someone wants to target Christy is the problem because there do not seem to be any enemies in either her life, her parents life or even her sister's life. Trying to sift through all their contacts looking for a common enemy or someone with a grudge seems the proverbial needle in a haystack. Clues do not abound in this case and our FBI agent is desperate for a break in the case. It comes through very unexpectedly.

The romance bit was overstated for me but the story line in itself was a good mystery thriller.

PS On a non book note, am leaving for a short break for Singapore tonight. Looking forward ever so much to this.
